1) Du är skön.
In this sentence the word SKÖN has two different meanings. The first, most commonly used meaning, is SKÖN as in "You're funny". It's slang.
The second meaning of SKÖN, and the real interpretation of this word, is "Nice", as in something feels really nice.
Context: Du är så skön! <- you're hilarious
Context 2: Du är så skön! <- You feel so good! (mostly used during intercourse)
If you wish to say that someone is really pretty, you should instead use the word VACKER. Use it together with HIMLA to really emphasize the next adjective.
Du är så himla vacker.
2) Vacker = beautiful / pretty.
A better word, instead of vacker, when wanting to say that something is pretty, is Söt, as in Sweet. You don't use the term "Sweet!" here as you do over there.
You're so sweet to me = Du är så snäll mot mig -> SNÄLL
You look so sweet in that t-shirt = Du ser så söt ut i den t-shirten. <- SÖT
The forest is so beautiful... = Skogen är så vacker... <- VACKER
